About Me

Thanks for visiting my blog.

This blog is a compilation of my thoughts, my experiences and my opinions (valid or otherwise) as I travel the journey of entrepreneurship.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for most of my working life.  I’ve experienced success and, as any entrepreneur will tell you, lots of failure (or, as we call them, “learning experiences”), but I can’t imagine it any other way.

The roller-coaster of entrepreneurship can be hugely exhilarating, fun, testing, frustrating and exhausting (sometimes all at once) but never boring.   There are times when you can’t believe you thought this was a good idea, and others when you pinch yourself at what you’re achieving.  There are low, pull-the-covers-over-your-head moments and high fives that leave you believing that anything is possible.

The self-belief, tenacity, resilience and damned-if-I’ll-let-this-get-me attitude and ability to be delusionally optimistic is what sets entrepreneurs apart but you don’t have to have your own business to be entrepreneurial.  More and more entrepreneurial thinking is being encouraged in workplaces and I, for one, am a huge champion of this.

I’m very thankful that I live in a time when the role models today are entrepreneurs – whether that’s in business, life, the arts or sports.  Those leading the way with new and disruptive approaches and challenging the “this is the way it’s done” thinking of their predecessors.  What an amazing time it is.

I love sharing stories, teaching, inspiring and encouraging others to be the best they can be and believe that pretty much nothing is impossible – and if I can do it, so can you.

Please share your stories with me and engage, comment, argue or disrupt in your own way.  I’d love to hear from you.
